Terms of Use
Effective: April 2026
Acceptance
By accessing withvale.app or using the Vale application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Vale.
What Vale is
Vale is a non-custodial financial application that provides a user interface for interacting with decentralised finance (DeFi) protocols on the Solana blockchain. Vale does not hold, custody, or control your assets. Your funds remain in a self-custodied wallet at all times.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Vale. Vale is not available to residents of jurisdictions where the use of DeFi protocols or digital assets is prohibited.
Your wallet and keys
Vale uses Privy MPC (multi-party computation) technology to create and manage your wallet. You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your account credentials. Vale cannot recover lost access to your wallet or reverse transactions on the blockchain.
What Vale does not do
Vale is not a bank and does not offer banking services. Vale does not hold, manage, or custody your assets. Vale does not guarantee any rate of return. Vale is not a licensed financial adviser and nothing on this platform constitutes financial advice.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Vale for money laundering, fraud, or any illegal activity; to attempt to circumvent security measures; or to access Vale from a sanctioned jurisdiction.
Intellectual property
The Vale name, logo, and product design are owned by Vale. You may not reproduce or use them without written permission.
Disclaimers
Vale is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that Vale will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular yield will be generated.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vale's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount of fees you have paid to Vale in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Risk Disclosure
Please read this carefully before depositing any funds.
Vale is committed to transparency. Earning returns through Vale involves real financial risk. This disclosure is not exhaustive — please ensure you understand all risks before proceeding.
DeFi protocol risk
Vale generates yield by deploying your funds into third-party DeFi lending protocols on the Solana blockchain (currently Kamino Finance). These protocols are governed by smart contracts. Smart contracts may contain bugs, vulnerabilities, or be subject to exploits. A failure in an underlying protocol could result in partial or total loss of deposited funds. Vale has no control over these protocols.
Smart contract risk
Blockchain transactions are irreversible. If a smart contract executes incorrectly, or if there is an exploit, lost funds cannot be recovered by Vale or by anyone else.
Variable yield
Yield rates displayed in the Vale application are based on current market conditions and are not guaranteed. Rates fluctuate based on borrowing demand, liquidity, and market conditions. Past rates are not indicative of future performance.
Blockchain and network risk
The Solana network may experience outages, congestion, or forks. During such events, you may be temporarily unable to access your funds or execute transactions. Vale has no control over blockchain infrastructure.
Stablecoin risk
Vale currently operates with USD-denominated stablecoins. Stablecoins are designed to maintain a 1:1 peg with the US dollar, but this peg is not guaranteed. A stablecoin de-pegging event could result in loss of value.
No deposit insurance
Vale is not a bank. Funds deposited through Vale are not covered by any government deposit insurance scheme, including FDIC (United States), FSCS (United Kingdom), or equivalent schemes in any other jurisdiction. You may lose some or all of your deposited funds.
Regulatory risk
The regulatory environment for DeFi and digital assets is evolving. Future changes in law or regulation may affect Vale's ability to operate, the availability of certain features, or your ability to access funds.
Liquidity risk
While Vale aims to provide access to your funds, there may be circumstances — such as extreme market conditions or protocol-level liquidity crises — where withdrawal is delayed or temporarily unavailable.
Technology risk
Vale's application, infrastructure, or third-party integrations may experience bugs, downtime, or security incidents. We take security seriously but cannot guarantee against all failure scenarios.
Your responsibility
By using Vale, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Risk Disclosure; you are investing only funds you can afford to lose; you are making your own independent financial decisions; and Vale is not providing financial advice. If you are uncertain about any risk, do not deposit funds.
